PORTRAITS & FIGURES
Lindsey McTavish's portraits and figurative works explore personality, vulnerability and the complicated ways we see ourselves and one another. Working with hand-felted wool and silk, she uses exaggerated features, expressive colour and layered texture to create figures that feel both familiar and slightly unsettled.
Rather than simply capturing a physical likeness, these works are about presence and feeling - the private emotions, contradictions and small human stories that exist beneath the surface.
