FLORALS & ABSTRACTS

Lindsey Mctavish's abstract fibre works explore colour, texture and movement as a language of their own. Working with hand-felted and quilted wool and silk, she builds densely layered surfaces where colour gathers, overlaps and shifts, creating compositions that move between exuberance and stillness.

These works begin intuitively, developing through the process of layering and felting rather than from a fixed image. Form emerges through the making - allowing colour, rhythm and texture to carry the feeling of the work.
